Does EFT Therapy Work?

Yes, there is a study published in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease, which had 83 subjects randomly assigned to a single hour-long session of EFT, talk therapy, or rest. The 1st group (Tapping) demonstrated a 24% decrease in cortisol levels (the hormone of stress), while the 2nd and 3rd groups showed only the standard cortisol drop of 14% which naturally happens with time passing.   Also when measured by the Symptom Assessment-45 (a standard psychological assessment tool) The EFT group also exhibited lower levels of psychological symptoms, such as anxiety and depression. How Long Does It Take EFT to Work?

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly the results can be from 1 session. I have seen people’s emotions and physical reactions change very quickly. In a session, we will go through several rounds on the same issues until the emotion or feeling has subsided as low as we can go if not completely gone. However, the body can become so accustomed to living in a state of worry, despair, and fear that it can become normal and when we ask the body to shift this perspective it takes time to re-pattern long-held beliefs. I have seen profound results in 1 session, however, most issues that clients experience are multi-layered, in other words, there are a lot of facets to the problem. Painful emotions can be brought up to be worked with and through, so several sessions will be in order. Consistency is the key when it comes to achieving long-lasting results with EFT, so at-home practice is important.

How Often Can I Do EFT Tapping?

Tapping is a safe and effective modality and can be done daily if needed. I have clients who tap every night before bed to help them let go of the day and fall asleep quickly or another who used it daily during the pollen session for his allergies. However everyone and the situation is different if we dig up trauma or deep-seed emotions the tapping can be done at a slower pace, so the client has time to process and not feel overwhelmed.

Why Should I pay for a session?

As an experienced certified practitioner, I help you process your thoughts and feelings in a way that is safe for you. I take into factor your unique experience and your unique perspective of the situation so that you build self-awareness as we tap. The interview process, when meeting is very important I get to know you and the best approach to helping you. Often I can pick up on core beliefs or watch body language to help you get to the crux of the problem. Most problems need to be worked on in an emotionally safe environment as EFT can quickly and easily access deep emotional states. When working together with online EFT Therapy, I am professionally trained on how to help you contain your distress and calm the nervous system so that you leave the session feeling good. I never take my clients further into the script/session than they can handle and know that sometimes things must be left until the next session.
